what would wendy wear?

ok everyone -- tele welly here ready to recap my favorite show and yours -- PROJECT RUNWAY! This cycle has some of the most talented designers yet with so much potential (to bitch and complain, that is) tonight's episode was no different.....

disclaimer: my recap will be brief tonight so i can move on to the hot male gymnasts and speedo-clad divers on NBC (sorry! but i cant resist!!!)

here's a play by play...

Heidi delivers the challenge for this week: design for a high powered and glamorous woman (heidi is always SO adorable, yes?) Tim fleshes out the challenge a bit then introduces Brooke Shields!! i guess she needs to plug some lipstick jungle, season 2. WOAH -- and it's a TEAM CHALLENGE!! watch out folks, the claws are comin' out!

30 minutes to sketch and then everyone must pitch designs to brooke (just like SJP from last season) the winning look will be worn by brooke on the show -- very cute idea. all seem to be surprisingly on track with this one... except for Leatherface (stella), of course, who wants the character wendy to be in S&M gear apparently...

who will be chosen?
1) Keith 2) Korto 3) Darrel 4) Kelli 5) Terri 6) Blayne (let's all hope he doesn't make it toooo neon)

they pair off and are then off to mood ... and they try to start working together, "try" being the key word in that phrase. one thing we can say about these designers is they all seem to have strong points of view and working in teams stresses them out! ahh yes, this makes good tele. Kenley is giving Keith her constant honest opinion, Leatherface is pounding away AGAIN on leather, Terri is not impressed with Mr 3rd Person, suede. Daniel made the skirt all f'd up and kelli says RE DO IT!

Tim comes in to ''hollah at his boys'... he's worried about the bermuda shorts, loves darrel and leatherface's combo, loves terri and suede's garment too... oh good. he loves the Keith and Kenley's garment as well. but then he gets to Korto's jacket: quote of the night "look at the shape of it... i mean it looks like a big ol sweet potato". then, i loved loved loved Korto's bus analogy. awesome!!! haha then she and joe go fuss fuss fuss.

day of runway show: they run back into the room to keep working and everyone's nervous.... they have an hour to send the models to get fixed up as usual. at 5 minutes to go most of the groups are still sewing... yikes, hurry up you crazy designers and get your shit together!!

commercial break -- cue the Lipstick Jungle commercial -- i'm shocked! ;)

The Show:
Korto/Joe -- the potato coat is pretty but not fitted
Kelli/Daniel -- hmmm looks kinda trashy to me, yikes.
Jerell/leatherface -- wow very pretty!!!
keith/Kenley -- I LOVE IT!!!! love the fringe, love the print -- my boyfriend did well... ;)
Terri/Suede -- also very cute look. i'm into it
Blayne/Leanne -- love the look, but is it too casual??

Top 2/Bottom 2:
Jerell/leatherface: Brooke likes the mixture of textures, "chic and good looking"!
Kelli/Daniel "truly unfortunate" brooke says. ummm was anyone else concerned how MK said "slutty slutty slutty" it was "faggy faggy faggy"!
K/K: rich and expensive -- absolutely terrific... SWEET! my gay mormon is HERE TO STAY!
Blayne and Leanne: ouch they were rough on Mr Tanorexic, poor guy!!

The Winner?? Keith!!! the Ks are in! that means Jerell and leatherface are also in.. Leanne is safe... daniel is in... it's between kelli and blayne

blayne is IN! WOW, so that means Kelli is OUT -- the gal who WON the first challenge is OUT OUT OUT! that's exciting.... wow, i love a good shocker :)

well, see ya Kelli -- at least you were unique! we'll miss ya, sweetcakes

next episode preview -- DESIGN FOR DRAG QUEENS!!! HOORAY!!!! it's a dream come true :) until then, kids, g'nite!
